From its inception in 1988, Sodak was founded to fill a void for Native American Gaming – the ability to buy IGT gaming devices at a competitive rate. From 1988 to 1999, Tom Celani, one of the three founding members of Sodak, was instrumental in growing the company from a supplier of gaming devices to one Native American Tribe to the supplier of IGT gaming devices for all Native American facilities in North America and traded on the NASDAQ. Sodak went on to become one of the largest distributors of gaming devices in Indian country.
